Seattle Area Dealer?
I'm looking to test drive the new STI... does anyone know of consumer friendly dealerships? I recently stopped by the Subaru delaership in Kirkland and they weren't allowing test drives for their new acquired STI. I'm a Z06 owner; however I've recently become interested in picking up an STI as a dialy driver...

If you care too, ask some people about Kirkland Subaru. My own personal opinion is that you should stay far away from Kirkland. Something in the water over there seems to make the Subaru dealership miserable to deal with. For example, I went to school with a girl who grew up riding horses with Melody (of Melody's Subaru), and even SHE went elsewhere to buy her new Subaru.
And it doesn't stop there. They ignored me when I walked in, checkbook in hand, to buy my RS. Their service department lied to me about the cause of my HVAC fan noise (fan was rubbing the housing, they said there was vegetation debris in there), and refused to fix it. I do believe they forgot to work on my car one day so they stuck me in an Aspire rental car. Oh yeah, they wanted something like $4000 over MSRP for a 2001 RS back in December of 2000 because it's a limited production car (which it is, but they were sitting on dealer lots all over the place).
I'm pretty sure other people around here can add a lot more color if you need it.
Supposedly there's new management, but it appears as though there are some of the same players trying the same tired games.
Talk to Joe Spitz at Carter Subaru. Check out his website: www.cars101.com
I've also heard that Skagit (if you don't mind the drive) is a decent dealership.
