NOTE None of these are taken with a high-telephoto lense. Those freaks came within a few hundred feet of the Key Tower. these were taken from the 58th floor of that building (just about the top).
I remember seeing, but I guess I don't have pictures of, the planes going up the I-5 corridor so low and below us that we could read their names on the pilots hemets; it was just wild.
Also, that big box of pictures is a load of nostalgia, BEHOLD:

I went with my GF and watched them take off. That is great fun! Probably the best part of the show After they took off we drove up I-5 and watched them fly right next to the city! I wish I could fly a cessna that close. Then on to 520 to watch them over the lake.
In years past has 520 been closed? I always thought it was closed but it was a great suprise to see that it was open for the show.
