Primedia and Importmix.com are bringing you Trek 2003! Sept 4-7
ImportMix.com and Primedia are bringing you TREK 2003!
Performance project cars from magazines including Sport Compact Car, Turbo & High-Tech Performance, Honda Tuning, Import Tuner and Car Audio & Electronics will caravan to the NHRA/Summit Sport Compact series in Sonoma, California for the 3rd annual Trek. There will be 2 legs of the Trek: North (Seattle to Sonoma) & South (Southern California to Sonoma).
People will have the opportunity to join the Trek or they can just come out and meet the editors at any stop along the route. Editorial staff from the magazines will accompany the caravans until they reach their final destination in Sonoma, Northern California. Meaning that this is a PRIME opportunity to shmooze with the editors as well as get your car seen.
Once in Sonoma, the customized vehicles will be on display at the NHRA/Summit Sport Compact series at Infineion Raceway.
(For details on the NHRA/Summit Sport Compact series , visit www.nhrasportcompact.com)
ImportMix.com will be leading the North leg of the Trek and more info/schedule will come. BUT make sure to mark Sept. 5th - 7th on your calendar for the North leg.
Primedia will be leading the South leg, which will occur Sept. 4th - 7th.
Special info for the NW crowd: (from Jon Hu, president of Importmix.com) Tell all your friends and team mates about it. We will post more info as we get it from Primedia, but there needs to be a good showing from the NW. Everyone complains about the Super Street Tour leaving the NW out, now is your chance to show EVERYONE that the NW has an organized import scene. The editors that join our leg of the tour will be telling everyone about our turn out. We told Primedia to give the NW a chance....and they are giving you guys one. ImportMix.com is not making any money off this event, we just want to give the NW more exposure and more love.
So remember when you guys saw the Super Street Tour and saw there was no NW love? Sport Compact Car, Turbo, Honda Tuning, Import Tuner and Car Audio are all showin' NW love, what are you guys going to do about it?
LOTS more details to come! Be sure to monitor these websites for updates:

The lunch stop in portland has been finalized - www.sykart.com . We're pretty excited about that.
We have more tricks up our sleeve for the entire trip, it should be very exciting!

Time to start thinking about booking hotel rooms. The roseburg stop is around $40, the San Francisco is around $75. Keep in mind the San Fran hotel is an Embassy Suites, which tends to include 1 bedroom with either 2 beds or 1 california king as well as a front room with a pull out couch, there's plenty of room for 3-4 people to sleep comfortably.
