This place is like the factory outlet for Costco. Any computers that are "damaged" in the costco warehouses are sold here for dirt-damm-cheap.
Just an option...

We have Dells at work and the have THE worst customer service ever. We will NOT be buying from them on our next order. I have a Dell at home, but I've never had to contact them for customer service, but if you don't know much about computers and you'll need the service from them, look elsewhere.

Brand name on a PC means squat, it's the components that matter. (Well ok, might mean the "tech support" is slightly less crappy than the next brand but who needs tech support
)
NE 20th West of 148th Ave NE in Bellevue is Computer Alley - at least half a dozen places down there including Computer Stop and Hard Drives Northwest.
CompStop always been good for me and I have friends who like Hard Drives, though they always manage annoy me personally.
Another good one is Computer Sonics near Southcenter mall.
Remember, building a computer is like modding an engine - keep it balanced or you're just wasting your money. (No point throwing a hot graphics card at a slow-*** CPU for example)
If you want to do some research, I would recommend you check out Anandtech, Tom's Hardware and Sharkyextreme. Between them, you should get a fair idea what's what.
You can also use the custom system builders on the sites above to get an idea how much it'll set you back.
