Just scheduled a tune with EQ Tuning for two weeks from now!!! I might buy a CAI and EWG setup... hmmm.... input?
I'm thinking of getting tuned right now as is:
AccessPORT
Catless DP
Hallman MBC
or with:
AccessPORT
Catless DP
Hallman MBC
CAI
Uppipe
EWG
Thoughts?

Personally I'd opt out of a CAI, and go for a set of either APS equal length headers, or Tomei EL headers. If you don't like the sound, then go with the Tomei Expreme unequal length headers. I've seen actual dyno's, off the same vehicle, from the same day, and they tested it with both the Tomei UNEQUAL length header, and the APS Equal Length header, and they made the same power on the guy's setup. No more sacrificing sound for all out performance, unless you plan on a twin-scroll turbo upgrade lol. From my experience, the CAI doesn't give the best bang for the buck, and the stock airbox is actually quite good until you upgrade the turbo to something larger. I've been told that CAI's seem to be for squeezing every last ounce of performance from a given setup, rather than bringing a lot of power on their own merit. That's my own experience as well. Most noticeable power/acceleration upgrades for stock turbo and TMIC setup in my book would be: CF driveshaft, turbo-back exhaust with or w/out a cat, aftermarket headers, fuel pump, meth injection, and of course the tune (pref AccessPort). Your STi is already dead sexy looking. Anyway, let us know what you decide to go with, and what sort of numbers she puts out!

Yeah, I was primarily considering the CAI because it's crinkle red and comes with a heatshield + will let out some more turbo/wg sounds Not really for power, just engine bling...
I'll look into headers

Actually, a CAI isn't a huge increase in turbo sound, but it's normal to think so. A CAI will certainly transmit some more sound over stock, but it's quite minimal really, which appeals to some people who enjoy performance, but less noise overall. The most turbo/bpv sound increase you can get would be to add a Short Ram Intake. It's like having a tube amp under your hood transmitting the turbo's sound into your cabin.

Fasho fasho I've had short rams on two of my subies so far, both sounded sweet. I haven't decided on the CAI for the 08 yet, it's last priority after the following.
After talking with Adam at EQ, I think I'm going to be getting the MadDad Velocity Unequal Length Headers with Uppipe, a fuel pump, install my mbc, and then get a tune.
Hoping for 280-290whp and lots of torque!

So lucky me, tonight the only Subaru at the meet (Chris drove his beater to work so he didn't have his STi). We kick it for 40 minutes inside Barnes and Noble and then go back outside.
Someone decided it would be fun to jump on my hood and run across my roof ...douche bags...

Dropped the car off yesterday, needs a new roof skin and hood plus blending so bill is up to $3600 now and the car is down for 3 weeks
It's already there so I am taking this opportunity to fix the damage Big 5 caused a while back and sent me a check for (painting the rear bumper) as well as painting the front bumper to get rid of all the paint chips...
I'm juiced because they aren't using water based paint AND their paint is much better than Subaru paint... so that plus a clear bra when I get it back hopefully will keep it looking fresh.
Plus I'm getting a deal on the front and back bumpers

I'm debating whether or not to paint to grille flat black and do a pin stripe in red... so I photoshoped what I think it will look like, plus the oem fogs:
