LOL they where $45 a pop when I got them. 205/55r16 They are the best feeling tire I have ever owned. I have always had sheet tires though.

Goddamnit Walker...

The slope I'm on is getting slippery. Even since I found out that there are only six bolts holding in the rear seat, I was curious to how hard it would be to pull out...

It's not as loud and annoying as I thought it was going to be. But really, I did it to fit a bunch of wheels and tires.

I might have started looking at half cages. I didn't realize that the Autopower bars were only $600. I thought they were a lot more.

I don't prefer them. But I will run them when they're less than $100 for the set.

Back at the track...

RPF1 racing was back in effect!

The car held up well. I brought a temperature gun and recorded my brake temps. Turns out that my ducts were actually making my brakes hotter.

Monday called for a complete brake change.

I found a new use for the splitter!

Front rotors were thin.

Rears even thinner.

I now have a nice pile of spent rotors...

Front pads were also gone.

These had 3 track days and about 1,500 miles on them.

Tires are also pretty much done...

Calipers aren't looking great either...

All of my wear items are pretty much hitting me at once.

But it gets better! I found that my fastest lap of the weekend included two passes and a yellow flag!

I moved the start/finish. Had I not let off for the Porsche and the flag, I would have been around 2:09.xxx. My goal for the weekend was 2:10.

Some update action...

Some one hit my car in the parking lot. Going to need some touch up paint.

Made an attempt at some more roof damage.

Finally got my hands on another spoiler.

Some glory restored.

A loose patch cable found its way into my car. Thought it would be cool to hang from the tow hook. Melted it with the exhaust almost instantly.

Friend had a BOV.

This got me excited about BOVs. Friend wanted to sell his but it's blue. I wanted a black one.

Bought a black one.

Kompact compared to stock.

Install was super easy. Still working on fine tuning the adjustment on it.

Overall, I'm stoked with it. I want a better flowing exhaust for more aggressive afterfire.

Sold some wheels (Slipstreams) and bought some wheels (DPTs). Plastidip sucks. Previous owner dipped the DPTs... poorly.

Finally took the car in to get the air bag and relay recalls done. Had to cruise around in a Chevy IMPala. Stupid A-holes had my car for a week and trashed my shift ****. Someone was decent and got me a replacement ****. I never want to take my car back to a dealer.

Misjudged a driveway and dragged my bumper. Grew the crack that was forming. It seems that cracks in this area are actually pretty common. Debating zip ties.

Rehashing some bits from the original rice wagon. One of my high beam bulbs burnt out. So naturally, this meant baking the headlights. I ordered replacement bulbs. To get free shipping, I also ordered yellow fog light bulbs, and two decks of cards. I was posting these pictures to facebook with LazyTown lyrics.

I know, I need to clean up my lenses.

Fogs before putting them back into the bumper.

VIOLA!

Since I had the bumper off, I took the opportunity to unplug the DRL resistor. No more DRLs!

It's like the old car! Just a little bit less ricey.

Updates...

Dunlops are done.

I think I got good usage out of them.

255 ZIISS
3 events, 13 runs
9 track days, 38 sessions
136 laps Thill 3 mile
154 laps Thill 2 mile
54 laps BRP 13cw
~20857 miles

Finally time to use one of the sets of RS3s that have been sitting.

All packed up.

I was able to fit it all with the interior. But I did have to move the front seat forward. The sizing on 245/255 doesn't make use of the space well.

Had to pick a different set of wheels for a little while.

SSR Type C 17x8+35 225/45/17 Hankook R-S3 and they are entirely too small for this car.

Other set is done. Now I have usable tires and more brakes!

I want to get a little more technical with my brakes this time. I measured the pads before I put them on.

Call it 17mm front, 15mm rear. Fronts are new, rears are used. The rears have seen the use of an entire set of fronts.

Shortly after that, the airbag light came on. UGH.

Supposedly, I should be able to scan for a code that will tell me which airbag is being problematic.

AccessPort wasn't able to help me out.

I have a regular scanner that might find it. But I seem to have lost it. I need to look a little harder.

I've been trying to unload my old Q300 for a while. Got an offer to trade for an SRS N1. The same one that I originally traded from the Q300. Took the guy up on his offer and we traded back.

I now have my old N1 back.

It doesn't quite fit as well as it did on the old car.

Immediately melted the bumper.

Time to pack up the car and go to the track!

Brakes are a little easier to pack than wheels. But holy **** are brakes annoying to have in the car. Constant rattling.

Another GoPro housing broke. Haven't had one break like this. But it's fine, I had a spare.

Obligatory, first think in the morning, picture.

After the first session, the exhaust fit better.

Second session ran into a snag. P0171 code. Figured it was since my BOV was 50/50 that's what caused the code and not really a problem.

Cleared the code and ran the session. Car ran like ****. Checked under the hood and found the problem.

Ziptie to the rescue!

10 image limit is annoying.

At the end of the first day, the brakes were feeling weird. Second day started with a rotor change.

Car was solid the whole day. I ran into some fuel starvation on the first day. On the second day I narrowed it down to the point that after 2 sessions, my car was low enough on fuel that it would starve. Mildly frustrating.

With the hood up after one of the sessions, I noticed something.

Only kind of a lot of blow-by from the BOV. I'm torn. It's kinda bad that all this oil is being sprayed in the engine bay. But this is oil that's not going back into the engine.

On the whole, the car ran well the whole weekend. Brakes were solid. Engine temps were within range. I didn't have to do slow laps. The tires didn't have any grip, I wasn't able to improve on my PBs. I also went through a frustrating amount of gas. Starving after only 2 sessions is rough. For the whole weekend, I burned ~70 gallons of gas.
