teeter night shot

all the weird light smudges were because of a huge freaking thumbprint on the platic over the lens... i think it's kinda cool though

i've been doing some vectoring too... be sure to check them out!

The hood looks so much better than a wrx hood with a scoop. the front end looks real good but i would get oem fogs to fill up the holes.

I, unlike all the "genuine JDM" suckers, got that with the car, plus about 20 minutes and 5 bucks with some Krylon Fusion plastic spray paint.

$40 plus shipping from japan? no thanks. I do just fine with a bottle of spray paint.

Thanks for the compliments!

the vectoring process is extensive, i probably put in at least four hours of time on that picture.

Basically, you use the Pen tool in photoshop to create shape layers over the original image... you then color them according to the image (or your imagination) and add any effects you deem necessary. for example, there is a stroke on most of the body panels in order to show the seperate parts. on special parts like the taillights, i used an 'outer glow' effect in order to make it look like it was glowing.

a few complications are that if you don't know how to use the pen tool, it can be really hard to get down. the thing to remember is that even curves have corners, you just have to learn to look for them and find them. every point on a path in adobe has two 'handles' which will define the curvature of the path.

my vectors aren't perfect, but i've progressed a lot.

be sure to check out my deviant art gallery as well as the scrapbook!
