Suby WRX turbo powered Sports Racer
Hi All -
I'm working with Saker Motorsports on their car they're bringing to the US to help them build race teams for the 25 Hours of Thunderhill in December and other series:

I just got confirmation from Jeremy, the head tech guy for the SCCA, that the car is now homologated for SCCA A Sports Racer (ASR) class. We also have paperwork in front of SCCA Pro Racing to see if the car can be accepted for Speed World Challenge GT. I'll be talking to Grand Am Cup / Rolex about the car in regards to the new GT class rules for 2005.

What I can tell you so far:
For the 25 Hours of Thunderhill, we'll be using a 400 hp engine packaged de-tuned to 350 (to help last the 25 hours).
One driver team will have people like Ralph Warren, Mickey Miller and Scott Lang - all veterans of Speed World Challenge Touring. The driver team for the lead car has not been finalized, but the intent is for it to be very high profile.

The old base model engine was 250 hp, but Saker will be getting the new engines directly from Subaru, so the base model car for $45K will be 300 hp. Car is about 1700 lbs.

Here's a shot of the back of the car:

They've been doing well in Europe so far (with 250 hp engine package):
