The stock tires on the STi are great for having zero traction in snow. Been driving around in 50/50 lock and still cant get any hook up with this thing. My 03 WRX with Kumho 712's was alot harder to loose traction with in the snow. I made it to red line in 6th gear in the snow today, dont think the WRX could have gone all the way to 5th. Looking for winter wheels/tires now.

Watch out!
Don't go driving in any parking lots that your not familiar with! I made that mistake and i think i hit one of those concrete parking dividers with my left front tire
I didn't notice till the next day that part of the lip of the rim was torn off! I had to get another rim. So my first time out in the snow with my 04 rex was a bad one. I'll def be more cautious from now on.

Here is another pic of my STi in snow. We got over a foot today. This is in a jamungus parking lot at GVSU so the wind pushed all the snow in other areas. The woman wouldnt get out to take action shots.

Went around with my roomate and some neighbors in their jeeps. That is my roomate stuck in his ex-cop cherokee, my neighbors Rubicon with a 4" lift pulled him out. STi didnt get stuck. DCCD was in Lock the entire time. Here is the pic of all 3 jeeps, notice the stuck one.

Here is the Rubicon pulling out the Cherokee. The origional idea was to pull it out with the STi. The 31" MTR's w/ locking diff had a hard time pulling the truck out. Dont think the STi woulda had a chance, but it would have been funny as hell.
