That thing is sweet as hell. If I had to do that wiring I'd have fired generic brand ammunition through my skull.

Well, the car was supposed to be ready to go today but the alignment has not been done yet and I figured its easier to have it done by this guy that the mech knows rather than me have to schedule it in with my work week…. So im picking the car up tomorrow night….
But that still didn’t stop me from going up north today to test drive the car!! 

I decided to go with the stock sti turbo back cause I wanted to remain fairly quiet for now (daily driver) and because damn they are much cheap to pick up on ebay!… besides it gives me something to upgrade later and something to compare too later.

But I love the deep base tone you get… perfect .. I couldn’t be happier with it.

Driving impressions:
0-3500rpm it’s a normal impreza with a cool sound. Lol actually, surprisingly good low low down torque compared to the 2.5. something I was not expecting after reading other reviews.

3500-4000rpm…. Something different here hhhrrmmmmm.

4000-8000rpm
holy f*&AK…. It’s a monster
these 2L are truly scary beasts.. and it just keeps pulling

… and to think this is with a stock exhaust and ecu !

Bit laggy though (stock exhaust… and vf30)

Have driven the car only for about fifteen minutes and all I can say is this conversion is worth it!

I hope that engine was already broken in before you went to full boost and redline.

I assume it was but I wouldn't take it past 4K until you get it broken in if that is a straight new motor.

Anyways, good job and have fun!

Nope. I'd rather leave that money to my family.

Detail pics showing AVCS and wiring to ECU?

Hi Subenick!

Do you have any detail pictures showing AVCS control mechanisms @ the front of the car?

Can you post the colour code wiring on the of the AVCS servo controls on the left and right of the car?

Also, do you know what colour wiring the AVCS was use up to the ECU.

You see, my 2000 GC8 NA came with AVCS. It seems like subaru brings out engines in NA form, test them and then turbocharge them.

My engine is found from 99 - 00+.

Subaru then brought out the WRX and STI w/ AVCS. The engine design externally are basically the same, except w/ a turbo.

My ecu show @ NASIOC http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=878138 looks like that and have the same wiring, but I need to locate my AVCS wiring for the Hydra drop in.

Thanks and I look forward to your reply.
