Thats one clean wagon, that thing is going to be awesome

At the mount hammy meet last year I think it was, I saw a super clean red/gray gf impreza outback, for the most part very stock looking from the outside with the exception of an sti exhaust and wheels. I looked under the scoop and what do you know - the thing was STI swapped! those cars make awesome sleepers

well **** school tomorrow. waiting a little too long to write papers lol

So i got the pin and put it in, car runs great - however i have developed a very minor oil leak somewhere behind the passenger timing belt cover. a total pain. luckily it does not leak much so i will be carrying some oil with me as well as trying to figure out what to do about this

Also, I am going out of town as of tomorrow until October 26th or 27th, so you won't hear from me for awhile.

Alright I'm back!

its been a little while since ive been on here. Went to death valley for a little trip and I took the car. From here its about a 560 mile drive there so ~ 1100 or so miles on the car really since its been running

hardly burned any oil, I constantly checked the oil and it was fine, so it must be a really small hole or whatever it is.

Anyways - car is great, im ready for the next autox here

Little status update

Took the car to Fine Line Imports to find the leak and diagnose some other problems 6 check engine lights and they found the same thing, the oil leak is very very weak, and if I wanted to leave it in their hands for a couple hours of labor they could pull the timing covers off to look, but i dont have the money right now

Also, something is wrong with the smog pump, and Ryan at FLI said it would be easier/more cost effective to buy an accessport and eliminate the smog pump sensor all together and just pull it out or something - otherwise they would have to trace the wiring and that would take forever.

And lastly, I have to replace both the O2 senors
I bought a hardly used (6k miles) front O2 sensor for the '06 for 55 bucks shipped on ebay just now, so I am going to try to save as much money as possible

Need to find a front one though, those are pricy - any suggestions of where to find one?

and for fun, one Autox shot last weeked with not enough air in the front tire lol

little update again

I bought a almost new rear O2 sensor for 53 shipped and a hardly used front O2 sensor for 140 shipped, saving a little money
and lastly, I am about to buy a V1 accessport for 250, that should be nice

More update action

I got a car for free I was talking to a old teacher of mine and he had a fellow teacher's car that he needed to get rid of because he moved back east, shipping costs were not worth moving the car. It is a 1994 Toyota Corolla Wagon with 138k 5spd manual. Its got some rust and a nice size dent. I had to replace some gaskets but it should rack me in about 1500 dollars - basically all profit.

On another note -

I painted my V6 grill finally (4 coats of paint, 2 of clear), just need to buff/wax it out and put the finishing touches on it and that will be mounted.

Tomorrow I am picking up an HKS catless downpipe for trade of the AEM short ram I have and didnt want.

And Lastly, I am getting a tune at Fine Line Imports here in Santa Rosa wednesday in order to get rid of some CEL's so I can finally pass smog (stock cat back on for that), but I'm going Stage 2!!!! figured ill get more power out of the deal if I need a tune.

Full HKS turboback now
Accessport V1 (cheaper, will still work just fine)
K&N drop in panel filter

should be fun, I am really excited.

and on another note, by the week after Thanksgiving, I am picking up some Falken Azenis 235/40/17 for my 17x7.5 wheels that will finally be completed (4th coming from UK) at that same time. My JIC parts should be back then as well, So i'll rock those until I find something more street friendly

HKS downpipe isn't ideal btw... get something with a bellmouth or divorced wastegate...

I looked into a bunch of others, but I am just straight out trading the intake away for it, so it will be fine for now. I hadn't even planned originally on upping the horsepower for awhile, so this is more than fine

I went Stage 2 Yesterday. I have the HKS downpipe, which i basically got for free so it didnt make as much power, but I'm not complaining, I dont really care that much.

Power Mods:
'06 Ej255 - 37k miles
K&N drop in panel filter
Hks catless dp
Hks carbon ti

other than that - all stock

FLI protune on a Mustang Dyno

Stock WRX
Max Power: 202.2 @5500 RPM
Max Torque: 216.3@4000 RPM

My Car, Stage 2
Max Power: 227.4 @ 5500 RPM
Max Torque: 275.5 @ 3750 RPM

Room temp: 62 degrees with 60% humidity
Max Boost: 12psi tapering off to 7psi

I'll get the dyno sheet up later and post it up for you guys. Apparently a stage 2 wrx with a bellmouth dp would make about 230-235 hp and about 280 or so torque, but my car is lighter than the gd's so is all good
