You are looking at another... $40ish for tax and another $100 for mounting and balancing. I can tell you that I am running a bigger size tire, a smaller profile tire, and they are the RT-615 and that I paid less than what you would pay at this site.

Might just be better to call Auto Innovations and ask for a quote. They can usually do it mounted and balance OTD, not to mention their supplier drops stuff off twice a day or something.

According to Falken, they recommend my 235/40/17 tires to be used on a 8"-9.5" width wheel. At most places, they would not mount them on my 7.5" wheels for liability reason. Also, smaller profile = stiffer sidewall = bigger pain-in-the-*** to get on.

Well... mounting and balancing depends on what profile tires you decide to mount. Also... some places won't even try to attempt to squeeze bigger tires onto smaller sized wheels.

Had an auto x event with GGLC. I met a fellow i-clubber there! Willis555 I believe is his user name?? Well the day was really nice and hot which I think helped times in the afternoon. I went from a 43.215 lap time to a 41.915 lap time. I was pretty happy with that time but the car felt weak in acceleration (as is it has since its stock). I am competive with some of the elises, but the evos just blow me away by 4-5 seconds. The evos there ARE modded to the teeth so I'm not too upset about it, but I would like to go stage 2 and do coilovers so we can close that gap and run a more competive time. Once again thanks to Willis555 for the ride along on which was his fasted lap time yet!! He was running a 40.XXX and brought it down to a 39.XXX
Good job to all the drivers!!

Another fellow suby who I did get a chance to meet. He doesn't post much on here but his name on here is Willis555 or something like that. Hope you don't mind that I posted a pic of you driving.
Before I got in the car he was running 40.XXX times, but his very next run which I joined him on he ran a 39.XXX!!

ok well it has been forever since ive posted this thread, partly due to the fact that i have been caught up wit school but mostly because there has been no updates!!! well auto x season with GGLC (Golden Gate Lotus Club) is starting up again in March so I thought id post here!! no changes to the car since last season, but i have been looking at a lot of miatas lol Instead of racing the DD all the time, i figured it wud b kinda cool to have a miata that was raced out just for auto x. Dont have the money at the moment so that it only a dream. Season should be promising this year, with the new tires and the fact that i have some experience under my belt.
well that's all for now.
oh yea
