My WRX
I bought my car in sept 02.
I first started with simple mods like springs, cat back, bov...just small bolt ons that didn't do anything for power.
Later on I decided to do a little bit for power so I got an uppipe and downpipe...it helped, but I still wanted more.
I got a UTEC, but I was not happy with it...mainly because I wasn't the type to tune my own car so I sold it.
After selling the UTEC I decided I wanted more power so I went with a VF34 turbo setup with all the supporting mods. (except for a bigger intercooler, which I want to do soon)
After doing the VF34 turbo setup and being tuned with ECUtek with I-speed I made 276WHP (later on I realized it was actually running like **** so I took it to a better tuner)
~ 2 months after doing that my transmission went out so I decided to get an RA gearset through MPJ performance, that was definatly one of the best mods I have done..it is a great transmission, it feels strong and in first gear at redline I am at ~40 mph
at this point I also wanted better braking power so I went with a stoptech big brake kit
Here is my current mod list:
Car/color: 02 Black WRX
My Future plans for the car are coilovers and a bigger intercooler for now, as soon as thats done I want to redo the stereo, go with something a little smaller and lighter.
I wouldnt have been able to have my car at the level it is now if it wasn't for:

Chapter 1 -The early stages, before the power mods
I got my car in sept of 2002.
I brought the car home and the first thing I did to it was installing my stereo and tinting the windows, since it was a black car I just felt it was needed right away.
A couple weeks later I installed Sprint performance springs, this is before I was active in the subaru community so I had a friend that I used to work with at the honda dealership help me out. I was pretty happy with the springs, the ride is nice and they work well with the stock struts.
A few days after installing the springs I picked up an Apex'i N1 Cat Back exhaust from Gruppe-s...I wanted to actually hear the motor
The same friend who helped me with the springs helped me install the exhaust. I was very happy with it, it sounded great.
At this time I also decided to do a little bit for the looks of the car so I bought some 18" silver rota subzeros...I was pretty happy with those wheels.

Chapter 2 - The minor power & suspention mods
I was happy with the car, but I felt it needed a bit more power.
I decided to go with a bosal downpipe and a scooby sport uppipe, I got both parts used of local i-club members.
I also got a cusco rear sway bar from subydude (before I was working for him) and a cusco front strut tower bar, used from member formerly known as sisqocqk.
Around this time I also got a kartboy short shifter from MPJ performance and cusco shifter bushings and whiteline steering rack bushings.
My impression of the downpipe/uppipe combo was that it was great, the power gains from those 2 mods held me over for a long time, the sound difference comin from the exhaust just by adding a downpipe was great, I was very happy with the results. I got help putting these components in by i-club member Orlando.
I put in the sway bar, short shifter, and shift bushings in on my own. The sway bar was one of my favorite mods..before the subaru I used to own a couple of bimmers and for a while I was driving my dads SC300, so I was used to getting sideways in a RWD car....When I got into the subaru, it wasn't so easy to do that anymore.....until putting the sway bar on, on the highest setting, just a little bit of throttle lift around a hard corner would break the rear end loose....I love that feeling
The shifter and bushings was a great mod as well, I definatly liked the way the kartboy felt and the way it sat vs the stock shifter. The bushings made it feel a lot 'stronger' as well.

Nice setup with chronological upgrades.
In chapter two you did not mention any difference when switching to rota torques nor the effectiveness of the whiteline steering bushings. Or no major difference? Care to comment?

I gotta be honest zoeb, the second stage with the sub zeroes and whatever lip that is (greddy?) was my favorite. Your car looks badass now though, don't get me wrong.
