so yeah, here is my other project; 91 Jetta GLi 16v. it was keyed recently, so since the paint wasn't exactly the best nor was the body, i decieded to completely overhaul the exterior.

Nice car man. Side question how has the realiabilty of it been? I want to pick up and old school project car next year hopefully.

 

it's actually been really reliable, even more so than some of my friend's MK4's *knock on wood.* I had one issue, and that was the radiator fan staying on too long after the car was turned off, thus draining the battery, but that was quickly fixed with a new fanswitch. if you're interested in this man, check out www.watercooledmilitia.com. Who's going around keying "***" on other peoples belongings? Thats the second picture i saw with key marks "***". First was a rota rim then this... I wouldnt want my new TR to be "***"ed ... Please help find this person and key his stomach till the word "***" bleeds out.. ARghh. I'm sorry i just hate it when stuff like this happens, even though it's not my belongings.

Technically no, technically yes...it's my friends 325is with an E36 m3 motor swap...he got hit recently, so his car is out of comission right now

oh yes, mk2s are for the win....gonna go with some uber fat wide wheels...EVENTUALLY

 

Old-school, gold or black mesh, BBS with a fat offset for a giant lip. FTW!! VW's are fun cars.

 

yeah, planning on going BBS RS003's with a low ET and some kodiak lips...but, that's later down the road

 

i figured i'd update this thing...
so, i had started body work...bondo, wetsanding, etc...




then, got some wheels for dirt cheap



then got HELLA bored with justin (WhiteRguyX)




then the car crapped out on me (main oil shaft seal went bad, leaked oil into clutch and flywheel assembly, so the car is in pieces here)


here's a shot of the bondo sanded all the way down...body is ready, motor isnt
