My new 04 WRX w/ a few mods

Hey guys.....I finally got a WRX about a month ago.....its a 2004. I am going to hold off on engine mods until next year but I have done a few things to it so far. I put a set of STi sideskirts on and installed a set of Defi-D boost and EGT gauges in the Perrin dual pod. I am also waiting for a pair of the Zerosports carbon fiber wing risers to come in. In the future I plan on getting a set of Volk Wheels and upgrade the whole suspension with Tein and Cusco parts. I love the car and am glad to be fellow owner and not just an on- looker anymore.

Thanks
Brian

is it difficult to look at gas gauge and speedometer? i have the oem boost gauge and i have to tilt my head to look at the low gas lamp...can't imagine having two big ones. they're very nice-looking, though.

Hey everyone....thanks for the compliments and advice on how to post pictures. I got my sideskirts through subaruwrxparts.com and they were super easy to install. The gauges do block the speedo but its only a problem at very low speeds, which isn't a real big deal to me. It does completely block the odometer but I can deal with that. I love them and they don't block my tach which is the most important thing.

Thanks
Brian

Very nice - I really like the Perrin pod and you're the first car I've seen them on besides Perrin's own STI. Nice choice with the Defi D-Gauge as well, any movies or night shots? Or night movies?!

Hi.....I purchased the perrin pod from a vendor here on i-club.....Flash N Dash Performance. As for the gauges....I found them on Evasivemotorsports.com. Both of these dealers shipped the items out very quickly and I would do business with them again. I installed everything myself on the car so far. The gauge & pod install was somewhat time consuming, but I wanted to make sure it was getting done properly. I did have to overcome a small fitment problem with the gauges. The gauges are 52mm and turned out to be too small for the pod. In order to fix this I first wrapped some electrical tape and then one layer of the thickest weather stripping I could find around the gauge and it worked perfectly. I have not yet tapped the sensor for the EGT....I am still looking around for cutting oil for when I go to drill into the manifold....I went to Autozone and they didn't know what I was even talking about. Hopefully I can get that part of the install finished soon. Also...I finally, after a 1 month wait, got my Zerosports carbon fiber wing adapters in and installed....They look absolutely sick!! I took some pics of them installed as well as some night pics of the gauges. Hope to get them posted soon.

Thanks
Brian
