*sigh* No, it doesn't. I love it when people say "needs to be lowered, and add a front lip!!" Like I have disposable income to WASTE on a lip that will get torn off.

You will notice, the ride height is even front to rear. Now I realize that some of you don't really drive your cars, and ride height and suspension travel means NOTHING to you. In this case, a slammed pavement queen is fine. Just don't be surprised when no women will ride in your car because it rides like a 1 ton pickup Also, please don't be surprised when you tear off your bumper pulling out of a driveway.

I think I have the perfect combination of ride height, suspension travel, and wheel gap. A little more front lowering would be good, but I am NOT willing to lose front travel. If I were only into drag racing I would consider it...but that would be a horrible waste of a Subie

/rant, and thanks for the comments!! keep em coming.

hmm, ya, you think I had not thought of that?

A dedicated racing car has the ability to move the top and bottom strut mount locations, giving you a lowered car with very low center of gravity, and the travel needed to be competitive.

Now, if I were to put my strut tops through my hood, or design new hubs and knuckles, I could do the same. You ever look in the bed of a Baja truck? The struts tops are almost parallel with the bed of the truck!!

DAMN YOU PRODRIVE!!! Where is my WRC sponsorship?!?

I thought Justin@Grimmspeed said the 8mm Phenolic Spacers is for FMIC ppl only not TMIC, but I see you have STI TMIC on your list tho, not the front mount in your pics. Can you provide current(whatever is on the car NOW) mod list? I guess my list will be long than that if I include what I've tried, buy, sell, haha. Nothing personal, just wanna see what ppl has, so I can learn.

Thing with the spacers is, if you raise your TMIC a bit, it wont be sitting at an odd angle. If I had a bigger TMIC I may not have room under the hood, but with the STI TMIC that wont be an issue. All u do is raise the TMIC by putting a spacer, or somewashers, under the mounting tabs before you put the bolts in.

This is in theory, since I have not done it yet lol. But Justin agreen with me that it whould work fine. I will update when I have it on. Also trading a friend for his STI intake manifold No gains, but since he has his motor apart, and I am taking off my intake manifold......

I will mark the items that are not currently on the car. I think the only thing not on currently are the Subframe Lock Bolts (stiffens the suspension too much for winter IMO), and the Forge hose sets (Ancilliary and Radiator).

I hear ya about the mod swapping. There have been more than a few I have taken off and sold lol.

Ya know, I was thinking about that. I would get lower, with as much or more travel. Bummer is, I don't want to hurt the ride quality any more. Now if I start getting into some more racing....

by the way, did u ever get a 20g on your car? I remember you from GST the day I was having my brakes done and u were going to have your 20g installed and tuned. Hope everything worked out!!

tax return = tranny goals Alreyad have a clutch/flywheel/pressure plate, and an 05 WRX R-160 on the way.

From there, all I need is the shifter setup, an STI driveshaft (or get mine cut and rebalanced), and the companion flange from an STI for the rear diff ($72 new)

So are you coming with Cody and I, or not? Are u too whupped? :P Haha excuses, just like you "50 trim". Just bring your sister along!! We can get drinks and pool lol.

As for the boost controller...it is top secret Nah, jsut the Halman model that lets you adjust boost inside, so you dont have to get out and pop the hood every time.

OK, so a long awaited update....awaited by whom, I dunno

Things about to go into my car:

- 06 STI 6 Speed
- ACT 6 Puck unsprung clutch
- ACT Flywheel
Kartboy Short Shifter, with a SICK black Prodrive Shift ****!!
- Driveshaft Shop 1 piece Aluminum Driveline
- R160 swap for R160 with 3.54 ratio OR...
...06 STI R180 with custom Legacy GT Spec B axles
- Rota DPT 17x9" +42 Wheels with Dunlop Direzza Star Spec Z1 245x40x17 Tires
- RCE Yellow Springs
- Upgrading Poly Training Link bushings with Group-N pieces

After that, I will be looking at an engine build, which I am collecting parts for:

- Blouch Dominator 3 (probably the best stock location 30r around right now)
- DW 750cc Injectors
- Spearco Top Mount
- Forge Bypass Valve
- Undetermined External Wastegate uppipe, Tial 44mm Wastegate
- Probably go with Maddad unequal length headers (guaranteed for 2 years, with replacement even if coated)
- Turbosmart Dual Mode MBC
- Darton Sleeves
- JE or CP coated pistons, unless I can afford Cossies
- Cossie bearings
- Balanced rotating assembly
- TGV deletes
- Fuel Rails
- Cossie Oil Pump
- Upgrade Radiator
- ARP Headstuds
- Timing belt and Cossie timing belt guide

*whatever else I am forgetting goes here*

Headwork is waiting for the eventual Fullrace Twinscroll 35r
