Started to drop the engine in clutch wasn't put on and valve covers. First my jack broke and then another problem happened.

The flywheel that came with the box of parts wasn't mine and quick release bearing is missing so I had to order those. Whilst the engine sleeps in the lobby of the comfort inn. A bit of humor in my pain. Oh and sliced my finger open on the engine sending me to the hospital. Can this streak of bad luck end already?!?! Or is this car just a bad omen?

Eh...Ran into a lot of problems with the car and ran out of time and money to fix them. You can delete this thread if you want. The car isn't running and I'm currently selling it as much as it pains me but I'm moving on. :/

What Happened? It's a shame, you kept your chin up so long and then did not make it. it looks to me that everyone helping you did not really know what they were doing... If they did the car would be on the road. It is frustrating to see it end like this. Subarus are great cars, very well made and very reliable, unfortunately people are not as reliable and they mod these cars and do the wrong things.....I hope you don't give up on Subies, I have owned seven of them and they have all been good cars!

So sorry I didn't answer sooner!! Well as we speak I'm trying to figure what to do next. I still have the car and trying to figure why this engine wouldn't start when it should. Thank you for the kind words, I really do love this car and was/is a good car.

02/19/13: Sale fell threw and decided to keep the car and troop on. It may sound ridiculous but I bought another engine. The engine I personally installed in the car is good but decided not to go that route. Therefore I purchased a complete JDM EJ20 from Japan. Build is a go again, saving built hybrid ej257/ej20 for another build you'll soon see...;] I currently reside in California and the car is in NY. Also for the other build I just bought some wheels off a Ferrari 360 with Pirelli slicks on them, and cosworth 272 cams...just a hint to what there is to come.

I have cosworth 272's on my hybrid and I love them.

How much more would it cost comparing gas prices to ship[ping prices to just throw that baby on a hauler with all the parts and take it out here to give one of our amazing local west coast shops an opportunity to get it going for you?????

Hah well I could do that but I have a whole garage of parts over there too. Plus I don't really know of any shops in the bay area that are good only ones on the east coast. I also don't want to pay out the *** for labor when my friend is doing it for me for free. :/
