They dont ever get picked on becuase they worked (and no, straight A's does not constitute working) for their mod's. They wernt just handed the keys of a new Porsche by a parent saying "Here you go son, because you got a 3.75 GPA and we love you here is your new porsche" I personally am one of those people. Dont get me wrong, I couldnt have asked for anything more in the way I was brought up or in my family. I grew up in a well off family, living in the suburbs, in a fairly large house. My parents though knew how important it was for me to earn my OWN money to buy my OWN things, so they didnt just give me the keys to a new car and go "here you go sweetie for being such a great teen, we got you a brand new STi" and I am damn happy about it. I'm glad they didnt do this for me because it has taught me how to work for what I want.

Now back to where we were...
Cheers

BTW: Those are some nice cars...

Agreed. Not to be a dick, but I think we need to know: did your parents buy that Porsche for you or did you work for it? What I mean for work is actually having a job and paying for it in full, not getting good grades so your parents go 50/50 on the car deal. We need to know if you're a spoiled brat or not. You're saying that you know how to drive these cars, but do you really? Have you ever taken a class on driving at high speeds or anything of that nature? Simply getting into a $35+ car and driving it around at high speed isn't knowing how to drive it, it's knowing how to hit the gas and pretend you're an FnF movie.

all of yall buying regular WRX's and then upgrading them to crazy Hp...why dont they ever get picked on?
I might add a few reasons:
- The WRX is a bit cheaper, thus they can afford modding the car.
- Some just plain like tweaking their car to their needs and it seems that the WRX has more consumer level mods than the STi. I may be wrong
- Some don't like 6-speed transmission
- People race these cars professionally and simply prefer a modded WRX over an STi
- Why pick on a WRX? It takes something we call SKILL to mod your car. It doesn't take skill to buy a car.

This pisses me off though. You're going to trade your car for an STi, but it really sounds like you know jack **** about it, except it's expensive and it's "COOOL DUUUDE." If I had a ****ing Porsche I would sell that thing and use half of the money as college tuition, but then again you're college funds are probably being handed to you, while people like me will work for it, rather than mooching of my parents.

i think he said sorry-

okay i am gonna take the side of the high schooler here.
grant it our opinions are what they are- opinions

"Whoa there, i'm not flaming you at all. I dont think you should deserve to be driving a 35k sports car"

yeah, me too. but obviously dad does. yo phat keep in mind that most of us in here have seen many "arrogant" rich kids flingin' their parents bling blings makin as if they are "it". posting a pic like the one u did easily gives the impression of being like "look what i got". whether you are arrogant or not- who cares. i-club is an awesome resource we all can use to learn from each other and maybe entertain each other once in while. who knows maybe you are a responible teen and have matured above and beyond the average teen... and perhaps the reason why daddy is buying the sti 4 u. bottom line- we are not your parents

but heed(at the least what we old folks-like Imprezastifan88-who for some reason will not disclose his YOB )
have to offer u in terms of wisdom of subaru's.

let the kid do his thing- especially since his parents oviously
think he's ready for a car like this

Your deal seems fair. And, your attitude seems a little more grounded at 17 than some other younger posters on here.

Congrats to you! I say, another Subie on the road is a win for us all.

Besides, for the rest of you poor, sorry, 'picked-myself-up-by-my-own-bootstraps', suffering=earning it, you-don't-deserve-it, types, you come off sounding like a bunch of winers spewing hate for NO good reason. You don't even know this kid and here he comes to the board for a little advice, wanting to be part of the crowd, and you slam the door in his face. " 'We' don't want his type." ?? What type are you?! Chill out...coolest of the cool's.

I just find it amusing how many people get upset because they worked hard for somthing and some one else got that same thing easily. Such is life, but buying and STi out of graduation money or working for 10 years to get enough for a down payment really is mute. It comes down to being lucky enough the get to own and drive a car you love.
Some people have money and some don't, get over it its not going to change any time soon.

...And as for DESERVING somthing, when the hell in life to you get what you deserve.
