I am tying up a few loose ends. I just need to pick up pads and rotors, brake fluid, motor oil, and oil filter and I think I'll be ready to go for the track day. I am down to a small handful of things I need to do for the track day.

Sooo....
Here's the gameplan for next week.
Monday, pick up parts.
Tuesday, Christmas
Wednesday and/or Thursday, do front brakes.
Friday, try to get teched.
Bleh... That's what I am kind of hoping for. Hope it works.

So... the gameplan didn't work. I have my hands on the pads and rotors. Going to try to install them today or tomorrow. I still need to get brake fluid though. Still need to do a full brake fluid flush. Haven't done that before. Probably going to need some help doing that. Hopefully will update this page within the next few days.
Kev,
I'd help if you were closer. You'll need another person. I did a flush on my WRX when I installed the braided lines and my buddy was the "pumper" while I bled.
Are you getting ATE blue or Motul ?
Good luck and you should be fine.
(thanks for the harness bump!

No problem, Rob. I am going to go with the ATE SuperBlue. A little cheaper, more like a lot cheaper than Motul. According to the tech sheet, they recommended that I have fresh fluid within the last 6 months. Last time the brakes were flushed was March.

Brakes are now on the car. Yay. Stoptech slotted rotors and Porterfield R4S. I did a WRX front conversion. Changed from my 2.5RS fronts to WRX fronts. Slightly bigger rotors. That's about it. Thanks to Jon (sonic_yellow) and Karlton (xtremeyolks) for helping me out. I'll post up some pictures tomorrow when there is some daylight out.

Thanks Greg. They look hot. I think I should of painted the calipers or something before I threw them on. They look a little dirty.
Thanks Steven. Now I get to the expensive stuff. Eeeks. Probably going to wait until after I graduate to do the swap. Should be fun.

Yeah. I'll be done for awhile. I still have the rear pads and rotors to do, but they aren't too important at the moment. Going to get some stickier rubber eventually, but that's about it for now.

Eh. not too hard to take the fronts off again when you do the rears. Personally, after doing mine red, i really want to switch'em to black to make them less flashy.

Yeah. I'll figure it out later. First thing first. Track day at Thill. If you have nothing to do on Sunday, drive up to Thill and hang out with me. You might be able to get rides from some people. I can't give rides since I am in the beginner's group. I think only intermediate and advanced people can.
