some crazy guy said he was going to kill me, so i popped the clutch and took off, he tried to chase me, i was hauling *****, drifting through my neighborhood, (really, really fast) trying to get to the safety of my own home, then went for a hard left turn, with all four spinning, (was just starting to mist), didn't see black ice, and hit someone's curb with FR, while the backend slid up their driveway and into the yard, i rode it through to the next driveway, (sideways) back onto the road, hobbled home and parked it. But i got away from the psycho.. until he rolled by my house about 15 minutes later and didn't want to have anything to do with the crowd that mobbed out on him. We still don't know what the guy's problem was, he just rolled up next to me and said he was gonna whip my ***, i mouthed off, he threw it in gear and tried to park in front of me, so i took off because i didn't know what the guy's problem was and i didn't know if he had a gun or what, i wasn't looking for a fight, i was just trying to go home. never a cop when/where you need one, but they're always there when you don't need em. >

I been there. Same exact thing happened to me a month or two ago....... except for the guy trying to kill you part. I just got cut off hit black ice and went slidewayz over a curb and took out a street sign. Not exactly my idea of fun

Paul, your not from snow areas are you. NOTHING can help when sliding on ice. Ice is Ice, you can pump your brakes to try to get control, but he was too late. In that situation you repeat oh ****, then when you hit repeat with ****. Sorry about your Boob man. And I am not tryin to start **** with you Paul.

Actually, I have driven in the snow/ice many many times in various cars. Some FF, some FR and some 4x4... I have seen drastic differences between driving my rear wheel drive 4 runner vs. my fathers land rover. Needless to say the 4x4 is by far superior in the ice/snow. Obviously rules of physics still apply and you can lose control in any rubber/ice situation. Yet the LandRover does an amazing job on the snow/ice.
Now that I traded in my 4runner for a WRX. I was hoping I would see a vast improvement in snowy/icy conditions over a FR or a FF vehicle.

Damn that sucks man, but this is where my moto works, "Don't replace it, just upgrade it!" So yeah, buy some nice aftermarket rims
