Chicken's Crosstrek
#349
Time for what everyone has been waiting for!
Results are in, and they were surprising!
Stock wheels/tires put down.... 141whp/131wtq
Methods with KO2s put down... 127whp/122wtq
There was a loss of about 14 whp and about 9 wtq
THAT IS CRAZY! This could mean a combination of things...
1) Subaru UNDERRATES the engine like crazy
B) Subaru has figured out AWD components that work amazing together with little drivetrain loss
#) Combination of both?
Here is the Dyno chart. Stock wheels/tires are the solid line and dotted is with Methods/KO2s.
Cell phone shot straight off the screen
What's awesome about this is that it shows the Crosstrek has damn near peak torque EVERYWHERE. Power increased through the entire range as well.
Needless to say, we were all super surprised! The fact that it put that much down to start was amazing and the fact that the aftermarket wheels/tires ate up that many pony points. All and all, it was a fun experiment!

No Subaru anymore.....but I like your cars
Subaru is not so successful in China, because Chinese mostly drive their cars in city roads, suby should be drive in the country roads or snow roads.
The most important reason,it's too expensive because import from Japan.

Brought the car into the dealer yesterday for its 2nd and final free oil change.
Car is just shy of 11,500 miles and is 1 week older than 8 months.
While I was at the dealer I swung by the parts dept and picked up an in cabin air filter. It was only $14.35 after tax
Probably change it out today after work.
Also today after work, my friend who has been working on the brush guard should be stopping by for a final test fit.
