S03s are pretty good. Falken Azenis Sports (the old ones) are really grippy but tend to get greasy when you really work them. They don't lose their tread shape like the GSD3s do though. I'm probably going to try a set of BFGoodrish KDs next. A friend of mine runs them and is very happy with them. They're definitely as sticky as the S03s and Azenis, so if they hold up to the heat I'll probably stick with those for a while.

New pics! Finally got photos of the new wheels... about a week before they get sold. I really like the way they look. I may just find a way to get it again later...

Those of you with sharp eyes may recognize the wheels from the DoinkWRX, and that's SECCS's sexiest car in the background of one shot.

We've had occasions (like sunday nights on rally weekends) when there are 8-10 Subarus littering our driveway and cul-de-sac. I'd definitely do the seats, but I dunno if I'd ever change my dash. I kinda like it.

Getting better...

New shoes for the new season.

17x8.5 +52 CE28s with 235/40R17 S03s. GC/GM owners take note: If you get the +44 offset, these *will* fit with lesser fender mods than I've done. Front is untouched actually.

I definitely should have gone with 245s in hindsight, these tires are just ever so slightly wider than the wheel lip, and would easily fit. They're also spaced 8mm in the rear to avoid rubbing the struts, and 5mm in front just to keep the track width close to even. If I'd gotten the proper +44 offest it would be unecessary. No rubbing yet whatsoever, but I haven't been able to push it really hard yet. Autocross this weekend, so I'll know for sure after that.

And one with lagnwagn's Purpose Built STi:

Night photos courtesy of dcfc03. Thanks dude.

Next up: getting this bad boy installed-

Big thanks to dropkick_muppet for the absolutely screamin' deal on that seat. Everybody that didn't buy it before I did, sucks. Oh, Don, you do suck for being much shorter than me though. I need to modify the bracket before I can actually drive my car with that thing bolted in.

ban, why not go with the +44 offset? Was it not available? Second question, why no STi hoodscoop?

I thought I had more strut clearance and less fender clearance. Plus, it was the only used, forged, 17x8.5 set of wheels available. I took my chances.

No scoop because I have no intercooler. The car's about to get repainted though, for sand damage this winter. I might snag a V6 scoop (and aluminum hood) before that happens.

Wink

Well than keeping the stock RS scoop makes perfect sense . I thought you had done the swap. Regardless the car is looking good.
