Attached file is too large to post?
I just got a new digital cam for christmas a olympus c-50 zoom
5 megapixal camera. The question i have is i have taken pictures of my diecast cars and pictures of my car and wanna post on iclub. I have taken the pictures in many different resolutions. First i took them in the highest resolution possible and when i tried to attach the photo a message came up the file was too large to post the picture. Then i adjusted the resolution and took in various lower resolutions and then tried to post and still the same thing came up.
Do i have to format the pictures inorder to post them ie jpeg, mpeg, bitmap etc and if so how do i do it. All i do is take the pics and then hook the cable up to my computer and the camera and i load the pictures on to my computer. Then i try to attach the pictures i have taken and it says they are too large exceeding the maximum allowed.

You need to post an image in .gif, .jpg, or .jpeg
Your picture should not be over 72 dpi. if more you need to compress it.
common size of picture to post is like 8x6 or 640 pixels wide.
Depending on the picture veiwer program you use changing the size can be difficult to easy.
I think Olimpus photo program that comes with their cameras uses a program made by compupic (sp)
I use adobe photo deluxe or photo shop but you can use many others.
some times you can go into the photo properties and adjust the size there. you can check the size there and the Maximum size is 100000 bytes I normally try to aim for a 59,000 byte size and about a 8x6 picture.

thanks i tried to...
go under properties on both the disk with the camera and on my computer and it wont let me change the value of the bytes in the picture. The lowest amount of bytes was for the lowest resolution pictures i took and it was still 50,000 more than the maximum. i may have to get adobe. How muc h is it?
