Well after selling my 2002 WRX last month, i've finally found a replacement. Been lurking around the I-Club for about 4 years but only joined around 2 years ago under 2 different handles: HKSwrx02 and Lotusesprit2000. Loved the WRX and the turbo, but finances change. The car is a 1999 all stock Silver 2.5 RS. Car has 90k miles but was very well taken care of from her previous owners who also were here on i-club.

My plans for this car to start out with are modest. I plan on having the windows tinted as well as adding a Alpine Deck. I'm adding a Injen CAI, dropin it on some Tein S-Tech springs from Japan and change the steering wheel to something nicer (05 STI wheel perhaps??) Rota SDR lookin pretty good for first set of wheels for the car but many down the road to come.

Future plans incude STI BBS wheels in Gold (going for the OEM sleeper look since i have another car to do my JDM mods to), K&N Filter, Cat back exhaust, Headers, the new I-Speed ECU reflash when they come out with one for 99's, coilovers, USDM 05 STI seats and mabye a USDM STI 05 EJ25T swap if i keep the car long enough......... slight update. Car is now in California after driving it back 2,400 miles from Ohio. Car is very reliable as it got me all the way across the country. Very pleased. After getting it serviced (90k service) ive got a Injen CAI on the way. Windows were also tinted while driving back.


Heres a few shots of the car while on the trip (no tint yet). Ill take more once the intakes on and after a little detail session.

Well the transistion was hard (RS dosent have the pull and power the tuned WRX had) but with the weight/size difference, the RS does have a different driving feel which i like Someday it may be turbo but deff for not another 3 years.

lol. Funny u say that i was lookin at SD website this morning and some of the SDR's in a silver finish are lookin pretty good. DAMN ive been through 2 sets of Rotas in the last 8 months, im goin crazzzy.

nothing that will fit an RS will be comin out soon, just some 18x8's

well i got my Injen CAI in today. Apparently the intake dosent work for my car as my car is a late 99 and needs the 00-01 kit from Injen (this still does not make sense but apparently when the shop i got the intake from tried to install the intake, it couldnt be installed). Injen is in the process of looking into my car as the 98-99 kit didnt work out so hopefully this will get sorted out and ill post up some feedback once its installed. (i think i may tackle the install as well since the performance shop charges quite a bit

 

Goodies goodies and more goodies. Car has recieved many new upgrades. Injen CAI is now installed and has made a very noticable difference in performance and is LOUD! Tein S tech springs are on order from japan (guess they dont sell them here for GM6). New alpine 9853 MP# touchscreen deck was also installed.
