99 2.2L on it's way to be a WRX
Started out as a regular ol' 2.2L, until I was in an accident that left my front headlight and hood mangled.
I ended up going with the 2.5RS hood and had planned to upgrade the front bumper to 2.5RS as well, however, the canadian style bumper and smaller foglights caught my attention as a little something different. I simply could not stand hubcaps with an aggressive looking front end, so I picked up a set of WRX wheels from a fellow I-Clubber. I recently purchased a set of foglights off E-bay and used yellow Lamin-X protective film.

So far I've done very minor upgrades in the engine bay, aside from a K&N air filter and grounding kit (which btw, was an amazing improvement in acceleration and smoothness, props to paranoid fabrications for a nice product).

The future holds WRX brake kit, engine, tranny, and turbo. I'm a Mech E major and this semester has been pretty rough, so I only did minor upgrades. Hopefully I will be able to incorporate this self project as a part of my senior project, but either way it will be a blast completing in the next few years.

Any suggestions are always welcome. I plan on purchasing clear front bumper signals here shortly, they've evaded me for some time now. I'm also still hunting for silverthorne sideskirts to cover that ugly metal lip underneath that you see all mangled.
Also, my cornerlights are pretty weak compared to my Sylvania Silverstar headlights, anyone have any suggestions on a bulb that would be up to par? I don't like how the corner is a copperish/offwhite color compared to the white headlights.
Anyway, let me know what you think!

I love the "2.2 RS, " a very nice touch... not something many would pick up on. The wheels look good too. I don't know about the sideskirts, I don't see anything that offends the eye or that you need to cover up. Plus, you'd have to see where the sideskirts would line up with the front and rear bumpers, they could make it look a little awkward. I fancy a spoiler myself, but it looks like you are going for the sleeper look. Looks real good.

I've tried searching for a front lip for that style bumper, anyone happen to have any suggestions?
Clear turn signal is on it's way too. And I will be calling my local subywreckage to check for sideskirts if any are available in decent condition.
Thanks for the nice comments though guys
Hopefully I have something more to show in the near future.
I'm in the process of working on my custom sub encloser, as of now it's just in a box.
In case anyone is wondering what the system consists of:
Alpine headunit (old school!)
6.5" Infinity Kappa Components up front
6.5" Infinity Kappa in rear
12" Infinity Woofer
Alpine MRVF340 4 Channel Amplifier for Kappas
MA Audio 800 Watt RMS Sub amp

Good start. You could get the JDM tails and try pulling off the pin-striping.... IMO it will look better w/ out it. Keep it wingless, not many people do it though I still like the RS coupe wing. Paint the wheels black or gunmetal? Just some ideas it's all up to you.
If you go to powerbulbs.com and place an order they will send you a free set of corner bulbs. Free shipping from the UK too! Took two weeks but seemed like a good deal to me. The side lights were phillips 5w5 blues.

Christmas brought some goodies!
I got my clear turn signals on today, as well as some white sidemarkers, they are pretty dim, but they really add a nice touch to the front end when the lights are all on.
I'll post some night pics here soon.
