"Upon further review, it is a GD waist spoiler, ain't that a *****..."
... the search continues...
If somebody only knew how many people were looking for these, maybe some company would start making them again.

For those looking for the 1999 Outback sport waist spoiler you just have to look to your local Canadian Subaru dealership parts department.
Although they were only found in the US on the one year (1999-00 as far as I know) they sold for a few years on the Outback sport and Impreza wagons outside the US market.
Also try your local Australian Subie dealership - they still offer this wing on the newer 02+ Imprezas.

But there is one draw back - the cheapest I found the waist spoiler was from a Sudie dealer in Canada with $550 price tag (unpainted) plus shipping and customs.
I gave up at that point but still get jealous when I see one of the local Outback Sports around here that has one.

Are you planning to leave the pinstripe on? It takes some work cleaning the residue, but I think it looks much better without it. I could also see why you might want to leave it and keep it 'authentic'- just an option.
