great choice in wheels, looks good, not a big fan of stretched tires on a suby, always thought that was more of a euro thing (former vw owner) but looks good, not over stretched and tacky looking

Looks very nice, perfect looking wheels for the 06 WRX. You should get them custom colored for total drifter style 
And I ran 225/40/18's on 18x8.5 Advan's, never scratched the lip, my only concern would be a weakened sidewall strength for the tires.
