WRXed STi

Part I:

I bought a crystal gray 05 STi about a month ago and sold my BEW to my brother. Originally when I bought the WRX I wanted a STi, but couldn't wait for it to come out. Now finally its mine.

After driving the STi for a few weeks, I got the mod'ing bug again. Soon I was off ordering parts. I'm still not sure what direction I want to go with this, but so far I've installed:

Kartboy STi short shifter
K&N panel filter
HKS SSQV BOV

and this weekend I'm installing:

Borla Hush Catback
PDE downpipe

I'll post some pics when I find my camera.

Part I: Continued

I finished installing the downpipe and catback. I was considering using only the resonator and leaving the muffler off, but it was extremely loud. So, I put the muffler on. I have to say the Borla Hush does give the STi a sleeper look.

Wish I knew what I ran stock. I couldn't wait to put the parts on, so I never made it to the track to get a few runs in. I guess I'll have to compare with other people's times.

nice ride, and nice debadging job. my car looks identical to yours except i have a turboxs turboback with magnaflow muffler instead.

did your car come with the short shifter? tell me how the kartboy shortshifter feels, i wanna know if i should order it to replace the OEM one.

the short shifter feels great. the shifts are more "notched" and crisper. i immediately noticed the difference from the original. i'd definitely recommend it.

i think the bushings will help even more. i'll be sure to post up how they feel when i install them.

Nice matching the colors yo!

In that photo, I guess it's a bit bright out...your car looked PSM!

You know I'm jealous!
