Just scored these off Yahoo auctions Japan. Install was a bit of work but nothing out of the ordinary....
My pedals before...$5 Griptape from your local skate shop over Sparco pedals...(this is a great mod for those of you who live in wet climates)

Since I have an 04 STI gas pedal assembly I needed to do a bit of surgery to get the GC8 Specific STI gas pedal to fit.
First I removed the pedal assembly by unplugging the DBW harness and unscrewing 2 allen bolts. Then with some pliers I removed the metal plate from the plastic backing from the OEM pedal. The STI pedal fits over the OEM via a thin rod+bolt that goes though a hollow metal tube that serves as the pivoting point of the pedal.

Also added was a small plastic spacer provided in the kit that clips onto a steel rod on the lower back part of the pedal.

The plastic **** that act as grips on the OEM pedal were keeping the STI pedal sitting flush over the OEM and had to be shaved down to allow the rod to line up with the hole in the pivoting point. For this I used a dremel w/ sanding bit.

The pedal now fits like a glove....

Lastly I removed the glued on POS vinyl pad located on the dead pedal. The kit came with a bracket designed to mount the dead pedal to the tranny tunnel for RHD cars. This could not be used on my car. So I peeled back the carpet and drilled 4 holes in the OEM steel plate using the STI piece as a template. The end result....

Scored this bad boy on Sunday...Some dude from Cobb wanted it really bad but Trey (Bakemono) was kind enough to hang onto it for me
Itll sit for a while until paint time....(Still waiting for the Sport bumper to show up!)

I wont be using the trunk....

JDM Shifter trim....
Scored this NIB trim piece from Yahoo Auctions JP. Also picked up a new OEM shifter boot from Subaruparts.com. Still searching for the radio bezel (most I've found are scratched up and I cant be havin' that LOL) and Ill ditch the Sparco **** for the Spec-C RA-R one.
In case anyone's wondering the JDM WRX-STIs have gunmetal colored trim

The new piece installed...funny that there's 2 holes ready to accept a "limited" badge But Im not sure which limited editions had graphite trim????

I've been in Brasil for the past couple weeks but that hasnt kept me from hoarding all the Uber rare JDM i can get my hands on. So I'm just posting a few of the things Ive got planned for when I get back....Can you say Sunroof delete???
Yahoo Auctions JP is worse than a crack addiction...

This one will replace the chewed up one that I got off Ebay

Nobody on Ebay wanted this stuff..What a pity
