WTT: Wide kartboy short shifter for narrow

Hey guys,
Seems that I made a n00b mistake and bought the wrong short shifter for my car. I have a wide kartboy short shifter for a 5MT which I would like to trade for a narrow one.

This vs. this.
Apparently my car had the factory short throw shifter already installed, so the regular one is too wide to fit.

AH, sell it/return and get a knuckle ball shift ball. You've already got a SS factory installed. You shouldn't need a KB too.

The kartboy is lower. Link.
That's a pretty good thread comparing the two shifters.

Can't return it because I bought it used :|

just cut ~1/8 off each side of the barrel and chamfer the edges. I had to do this same thing to my MODE racing double adjustable shifter. My car has the factory short shifter installed and I didn't realize it until it was too late.

I'd do that, but
A) I don't have the tools
B) I figured someone would be willing to do a straight up trade.
