So I got myself a neato digital bore gauge from fowler to measure all my clearances and bores and yadda yadda..

Turns out I need to use a master ring, or some other cylinder with a known measurement to calibrate it before use.

The local machine shop I called was no help and they said they didn't do much of that ......this is the same shop that checked out my block and honed it after giving it the A okay




very discouraging news to say the least. Even more reason to measure ASAP
