Oh?

I like the mirror deal a lot.

I have a Beltronics RX65 and I find myself wanting a V1. The RX65 is great and it has saved me a couple times. But I really dislike having to search for the cop when it goes off. I used a V1 for a little bit and the arrows are extremely nice.

Also, kinda irrelevant... The RX65 has a blue display while the V1 has a red display. Everything in my car is illuminated red. Except the radar and it bugs the **** out of me.

Dude the mirror thing is hella cool!!! WANT!!!

But do you still have to have the main unit mounted in the windshield? That kinda defeats the point.

i dislike the rear view mirror one because you would have to constantly look up to view it, the clock one though is nice!

you don't constantly check your mirrors while driving?

oh you're one of those people....

my V1 is mounted just above my RVM, goes off w/ Ka and Laser, doesn't get much simpler. I've gotten a signal for up to 2 miles.

i've had mine mounted by the rear view mirror before but hated it, do you mount gauges up there? speedometer or anything that you like to monitor? no because it's easier to view looking forward.

i hardly look at my gauges, i can tell how fast i'm going by 1) tachometer and 2) auditory/visual ques. if a cop pulls you over, they're pulling you over from behind. plus, you want your detector mounted as high as possible so you can detect more distant signals.

I have no problem with the actual detector mounted high, but as a "concealed" display i wouldn't put it up there.

For those of you who have a concealed display, where do you put the actual radar detector unit? It would be great to put it in a location where it was not visible from the cops or when parked so you dont have to put it in the glove box everywhere

I have had a V1 in my glovebox for years. It's been great, and is perfectly concealed there. But seriously, you would need to conceal it in something that would be transparent to radar. I had mine mounted where that useless visor thingy is, and powered from the 12v source in the roof.

I seriously like that clock location. I think I want to do that.
