Don't trust eBay. They're $400 brand new on valentines website. Get them there

V1s are not much of a discount used, might as well get a new one.

Thank you for your input everyone; I figured I'd try my luck here before I actually bought a new one. (:

Why a V1? Why not say an Escort Passport 9500ix? Other than showing you the direction the radar came from the 9500ix is a better unit.

meh hate to argue but thats pure unadulterated horse ****. PPL said the same thing about the 8500, what a joke. I started with a passport would never get one again. Have gotten 3 v1's having gotten 2 stolen, 1 I left in the rental car for a few hours after returning it so my own fault. Clearly it's smart to register your v1. V1 is unbeatable for seeing around turns and canyons, also arrows are incredibly important.

Passport is like the mercedes amg black series, they try to do something different with all their data features because they will never rival the v1, like the merc will never be a rival to the porsche gt3rs

I have had both. Had the V1 for years since it came out years ago. My current is the ix. I liked the V1 a lot, it did a good job saved me from some tickets but i still managed to get tagged for speeding and the V1 didn't pick up any radar till it was to late. My exp with the 9500ix has been much better. Besides saving me plenty of times, it warns me of things like speed traps and red light cams as well as gives me a heads up display of my speed things the V1 didn't and doesn't do. Also updating your detector yourself without having to send it in is another plus.

Although I haven't researched much on the passport, I've heard nothing but good stories and reviews about the V1 so I'm really sticking with it.

Kspek: That's a lot man! I'm gonna try and get a hold of this guy.
