looking for a usdm sti tmic to swap onto my 2002 wrx depending on price. Let me know if any of you frotn mount people have one lying around.

on a seperate note, if an sti tmic is overkill or does little performance wise, when I plan to stick with the stock wrx turbo and bolt ons (vishnu stage 1+ xede tuned) please discourage me from looking into an upgraded tmic.

I have one...sti tmic w/ bottle and water sprayer. All you need is the switch to make this work. I bought it on craigslist for my 04 wrx wagon, but gave that car to the wifey and bought an sti instead...i paid $500...will sell for the same price or give me a reasonable offer. I'm in Hayward so you can see it if you want...can take pics also. If you ask Shiv/Vishnutuning about tmic or fmic, he'd strongly suggest the tmic...

Give me a call if interested...415.699.1797

For the stock turbo I believe an Sti tmic is good enough. Of course u can opt for the FMIC if you have money to burn.

Side note: the JDM STI TMIC is 40% or something bigger than the USDM TMIC. IF you can get your hands on those I would. Since I have it and it spools faster and sooner than the stock.

hmm. think im going to hold off on the tmic for a while. so far best ive found is 250 for the usdm sti tmic with the bracket to make it fit. no fmic b/c ii am on a quest to reduce lag as it is and thats just overkill for a td04.

Is this geoff as in gruppe-s/cps geoff? Yea I'd be down in all probability, can you scrounge up the the sti ic bracket so I could get it to fit my wrx? Not sure if you want to sell it to me as I can't get it all tuned by you guys hehe (bought a real cheap xede). This would only be with up/tbe/hoses/pulley/ic sprayer and some p&p bits. You think an sti ic is overkill for these mods? I could come get it over christmas break. Let me know if that works and you can spare the bracket (driver's side only I believe). thanks, patrick

Hey man,

Yeah, it's me. I don't care if you get it tuned by us; thanks for the thought though (awww!). It's off my car so I'm just trying to sell it. I don't think this IC is overkill at all for what you have on your car. That's a good set of mods you got so far. This IC will help even if your car is stock. It think it already has the brackets on it since I have FMIC on my car now. To whomever else, I'm located in the SF bay area so if you're interested.

Thanks,

Geoff
