WTB: SOHC EJ25 for 2003 Outback
This is for my dad. He has a 2003 Legacy Ouback 4EAT. The headgaskets have been leaking for a while and he's now a lil over the 100K mark. I told him it'd be cheaper / easier to just drop in another EJ25 rather than have to do the headgaskets AND timing belt/waterpump on his current motor since that's a lot of service.
Looking for a stock SOHC EJ25, also MAP based no MAF... not looking to swap intake manifolds just wanna drop a whole motor in. Preferably something with less than 100K on it, though if its more than 100K but has had new headgaskets and timing belt put in then we'll still consider that. Realistically he just wants to be able to get another 30-40K out of the car, doesn't want to keep it forever. I personally sold my old EJ25 with a bunch of extra stuff for around 500, I usually see them going from 400 to 700 (for early 2000 models) depending on mileage / condition.

Just got a 2-jz from them for $450 w/no core charge. Less than 50k miles, 6 mo warranty.
Came complete throttle body to oil pan. However, engine was a JDM engine, so I had to swap the original intake manifold & oil pan from the original to the new engine. Easy enough.
Bought a civic engine from them a while back and though they claim they're all jdm take outs, this one was a fresh rebuild. That one was $750 w/$200 core charge.
There's also LKQ and Jasper's which offer similar take out engines. All of them will deliver right to your door.
