If he's running an open DP, and only willing to spend $200, I don't think he's too concerned with having a nice tone... Sounds like OP is looking for volume over all else...

The best thing to do is to get a pole that will fit into your exhaust. Take a dump, put on some gloves if your feelin clean, and put your poop up your exhaust. use the pole to get the poop down the exhaust as far as you can. Your poop is actually 45% air, so it wont clog up your airflow. What it will do is have a similar harmonic frequency as your engine and it will AMPLIFY the sound better than metal can do. Its not about the shape of the metal, but the material, and human feces is one of the best amplifers. Have you ever had someone poop themselves because your exhaust was so loud?Yeah, thats because the sound of the exhaust caused the poop to exit because it matched the same harmonic frequency.

 

open catless dp is as loud as you're gonna get.

 

Take off the downpipe and see how much louder it gets.

If you're already open downpipe, I don't know what you think adding a muffler downstream is going to do to increase sound.

You sound like a man who should be driving a 5.0 Mustang with open headers

 

Or a neon srt4. They came from the factory with no muffler
