Wtb: long block for a 2002 wrx
Wtb: long block for a 2002 wrx
So the grim reaper decided to "knock knock" on my stock 2.0L on my bugeye. I haven't ripped it open yet, but i will this week, I'm pretty sure the block is toast, due to a dying idle. I'm looking into a 2.5 hybrid long block or a 2.0l long block from a 2004-05 wrx. Any suggestions for a build and reputable shops? Pockets aren't that deep :-/

to do it properly, you'll need a 2.5short block new or used is up to you. price will range anywhere between 500-2200 for used or new. Then take your cylinder heads to have them machined to match the combustion chamber which will cost around 500-1200 depending on what else you have the machine shop do. Plus all the new gaskets which is another 2-300. Then a new clutch setup if you can afford it since the motor is already out. And that doesnt even include the price for labor to do all the work.
