Yes it goes in the fender and connects stock intake horn to stock intake box. It should be a simple smooth bend elbow with stud for mounting. Compared to the stock elbow with corrugation that has the big silencer box off the bottom.
Very interested what's your asking price?
I you simply take off the resonator from inside the fender, it will scavenge for air. There is an inlet that fills the fender with fresh cool air so there is nothing you need. I have been running mine like that for several years..in fact I have never heard of anyone putting in an "elbow" . If anything go to your local hardware store and buy a plumbing item like this....

It is called a reducer...Stick the small end in the hole into your airbox and it acts like a funnell . It also stops water that may get into the fender from going into the airbax inlet.. I think it is a 90mil to 80mil reducer. Measure the hole before you go to the hardware...It will also help if you get a better than stock air filter. APEXI make a great cotton filter that is cleanable and doesn't need oiling like the K&N ones so you don't get problems with oil in your MAF...

I guess if you take off the v shaped flat intake funnel and dont use it then that pvc idea works great. Better than the beatrush one which is like 205 bucks!!!
But I never understood how u get cold air going into the fender if that intake funnel is taken off....my fender liner keeps it nice and toasty up in there lol.

I have no clue why you all make this so hard. Just pull the snorkus and your done. You don't need to "get cold air" to draw in, you don't need anything special. The OEM box will still draw plenty of air and work just fine (ran it that way for YEARS before going to a proper Short ram and a tune)
Well from personal experience the snorkus delete elbow paired with the rest of the stock intake and a drop in panel filter work great. Pulling straight out of the fender well sounds like a good way to get water. And a shortram would be great if I wanted to spend $$$$ on the intake and heat shield.....for not much more gain.
To get more cool air into the fender I cut this flap in the brake cooling conduit

but like someone said.. it will find air..We have this type of CAI set up on both our Bugeyes without any problems..

And NO !!! we do not have a bumper delete. The photo is for reference only... :0) ... It is annoying when it comes time to clean the filters in the Bugs and for this reason I have the stock box with the resonator mod and the apexi filter in my Blue GC8
