Hey folks. I just bought a 98 Impreza L and the motor is toast. I thought it may be the head gaskets so I replaced them. Didn't help. After a second (and more thorough) inspection I see that the heads and block are toast. I don't know which motors are smog compatible with this year so I'm open to some information.

Anyone have a decent shape shortblock / longblock or just heads laying around on the cheap? I'm located in Chico which is 1.5hrs north of Sac.
