Damn andrei. I had all this stuff for sale 1 day only. The sti limited trunk, brand new hvt coilovers......
Then i found out my car isnt dead and now im keeping it all
Good luck man. And if you want coils for your daily driver i would stick to fa 500's, kw v1 or feal 441s. Unless you are planning track events and want to hate the ride on the street.
I would say hvt but not too many reviews out yet.
Dont cheap out on the bc and isc's.

And huh?!?!?! All coilovers are height adjustable. Just some are fixed dampening.
Maybe u should do some more research on coils lol. Do you even know what spring rate you want?

Also are you looking into a roll center kit?

Fixed dampening for DD. Rates match dampening.
They are a euro damper rather than japanese style.
Btw if you get a good damper with proper stroke and are running it at an acceptable height. It will give you the same stroke as you would have dropping the height on the lower bracket.
I would look into feal 441s. Basically bc parts on odi steroids.
Youll be alot happier and its worth the extra 400 bones.

That being said, BC and the ilk are junk.

Sorry I don't need someone to parent me on my decisions. I understand your point and you guys are right in the long run but I know what I want and BC's or isc's fit my needs well. I have friends who love them and others who don't. But the ones who don't are usually on suspension worth more than their car. I don't need opinions on suspension, just someone willing to sell me theirs. In my case they'll do the job for me. Anyway getting back to the goal of this damn thread: If anyone has a set of entry level coilovers; BC's, isc's, etc- let me know and we can work out a deal
You dont want to blow your whole load now on a coilover that needs rebuilt in 20k miles. If it even makes it that far.
I know its in your budget at the moment but maybe sit on it for a few more months until you can afford a better quality set for a few bux more and not have to worry about the issue of quality control.
Honestly i would go with the feals. They are as i said essentially bc's built with quality and love from Odi. Plus you can call him and talk to him about what rates and valving would be best for you.
Then you have an upgraded and custom built set of bc's if you want to look at it that way.
Are you going to be able to afford the cost of uninstalling rebuilding then installing again if something goes wrong?
Another reason some guys stick with a ballin strut and spring combo.
No body is trying to parent you. They are just trying to help you not make a mistake.
If you buy some random bc's or isc's let alone used....you are in for the hurtin.
I would never buy a used set of coilovers unless they were freshly rebuilt personally.
So ill ask. What is your purpose with the coilovers and the car in general?
Track? Daily driver? Herra frush?

On top of that if you are planning on going low, other money must be spent on a roll center kit to make your car not handle like a pinto as well. Thats another 200 bucks not including install.
Planning on installing the coils yourself?
