Just be patient! It took me 3 months before I found my 4door, white gc8... and she was the perfect car, couldnt ask for a better condition or color and I wanted a four door.... picked her up for $3600, put a note on her when she was parked at a light-rail station.

 

Hey Raymond, did you finish up the swap yet?

Yah, I doubt I'll find a nice one until spring/summer. All the ones I've checked out so far need extensive body work...Like a whole respray. I'm considering taking a loan out and just buying a swapped RS, hehe. After I sell my current WRX I'll be able to pay off the loan right away. I'm not sure if I'd get approved, but this is just thoughts for now.

Thanks! I'm stoked. There were many RS' when I didn't have all the money saved up, and once I did, I had to wait another month and a half. Saw some rather laughable RS', and I'm ashamed that people kept them in horrible condition. Picked her up for $5600 on CL of all places. And I mean that because of the condition it's in. I'm the third owner, but the second owner had it for less then a month. First owner overheated the engine (coolant line busted but still drove on it), so the guy rebuilt a whole new block - OEM everything, top/bottom, head gaskets, clutch, etc! He's also a tech/writer at Carlsen, so he knew what he was doing. I'd say I was very fortunate to find it - called him as soon as I saw they posting ~2hours after he made it haha.

Just gotta get her detailed, she has swirl marks every where =( This weekend I have to rebleed the brakes and clutch fluid as well. The pedal feels soft when pushed all the way in then super stiff around the catch point...anyone know what the problem is? My friend says to rebleed the clutch fluid, or it could be an aftermarket pressure plate, but I doubt that cause he used ALL oem parts) Quick google search says my clutch master cylinder might be bad........ Car is still drivable tho. He said the clutch only has 50 miles on it if that matters - possibly still breaking in?
