Looks like the pics were taken in Colorado, I am not familiar with that scenery in Shingle Springs and I grew up in the area. Only get snow up there once in a while, and I am pretty sure there is no snow up there now.
then there is this - Subaru WRX STI Invida Turbo Back Exhaust - Shingle Springs, CA - $500
the seller was also selling a 04 STi with a salvaged title on iclub as well.

All the posts go by the name Kyle, the link to the old craigslist ad has the name Kyle, but the same phone number as the new craigslist ad for the WRX but the name Aaron.

So is the title effectively "washed"? Meaning it doesn't say "SALVAGE" on the title but there's an accident reported in which they totalled the car? I'm just curious at this point: I've heard of this being done, but never seen it in person.
I know people who used to do this with motorcycles. Pick up a bike that has a salvage title reg it in florida then re reg it here in cali and wala clean title and bikes value goes up. Most of the time they did it with bikes that would have a small dent in the frame from a high side incident. The method prob works the same for a car. but with all the carfax stuff i wonder how easy it is to do now.

Carfax doesn't always tell the whole truth. I had a trunk that got in accident, Got all the repairs done through my insurance. Few years later I go to sell it, got a Carfax for the buyer and the only thing that shows up are title transfers and one maintenance repair. I just bought a used WRX from my wife's dealership, got the car fax and it shows clean, no accidents. My brother in law who has been in the body shop business for 30 years see's my car and notices that car had been worked on before.
