I have to replace the engine in my brother's Forester but don't want to spend the money buying a hoist since I don't have space to store it...was wondering if anyone had one I could use for a few hours. I can pay in booze or compensate a small fee for rental/usage.

In a couple of weeks when the engine comes in. I would only need it for a few hours; I should be able to replace it within 5 hours or so.

 

True. That has crossed my mind. However, I don't have a truck and I don't want to rent a truck/hoist if I don't have to. Trying to minimize costs if all possible. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Thanks for the offer but my brother had the Forester towed here to Fremont from Modesto. It would be easier overall to find something local or just purchase something if it came down to it. I really appreciate your offer though!

 

As long as im not using it at the time, Ill help you. I have a truck, stand, hoist and winch and im in fremont most wednesdays.
