I believe the 02-05 have some sort of sensor right after the cat in the uppipe. Not an o2 sensor. I think its an egt sensor or something

its not an 02 sensor, it is the EGT wire and it ends up burning out and your check engine light will turn on and it will go into limp mode, this happened to me so what i did is took it out and plugged the uppipe(if you plan to use the stock upipe)and did the 2.2 ohm into the wire connected to the ecu, so it will keep the ecu happy oh and you posted this in the wrong thread haha but glad to help PM'd about the grill too

This is pretty close to the correct answer...cap off the EGT bung and stick a 2.2 KOhm 1/2 watt resistor in the EGT connector holes. To cap the hole in the uppipe, a M12x1.25 bolt will fit in there perfectly.

Well you can also cap it off and once you have all your mods that you want for a decent amount of time, just get your car tuned. They can make the ecu ignor the EGT and you will not have to use any type of resistor and your check engine light will not come on. But the cheaper rout is to just put in a resistor
