Where exactly are you located? I noticed you mentioned Marin in your post but it sounds as if you had to travel there. I am interested so hopefully you are fairly close. I am on the penninsula.

It might, it has the type of mounts that hook under the sill at the top of the windows. I'm even down to meet up to see if it would work on your car, just let me know.
