Subaru sti tires!!!
Hello everyone...
I have a 07 impreza sti with stock rims, and I need tires, I was thinking to get the Michelin pilot sport 245/45/17 and I want to make sure if it's the best choice to go with?
I don't know much about tires so please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks for your help!
Sean

Well first, let's consider a few things to help you narrow down some possibilities since you've chosen to run with 245s.
if I'm not mistaken the 07 sti also has a limited edition that runs a 17x8 rim versus the original 17x7.5. While that may be only a difference of half an inch, it might matter, which brings up the next question..
What kind of driving are you doing? Are you going to be using your car as a daily driver, or do you plan on taking it to the track? There may be some sidewall bulge which can affect tire pressure. Btw, are you lowered at all? Cuz If you are, you might get some rubbing in the rear.
In my opinion, I would stay within the ideal tire size for stock stock bbs rims 225-235..Unless the tires you have on now are 245s
Then again, are you concerned more about fitment, or are you asking what type of tires would be best? Can someone verify for me or correct any inaccurate info?
Good luck

I use it as daily driving, and the car is all stock, except exhaust, intake and some other little stuff, but not lowered at all, now I'm running 245/45/17 but I'm not sure if I should run the same numbers?
Thanks for helping!

I have the Mitchelin ps2, and I love them. Supper sticky, they perform great in dry and wet. I hear they are the opposite in the snow though, so take that into consideration.
They cost a pretty penny, but in my option these are the best tires I owned.
You should read about them on other forums though, that's how i leaned a little about them. A lot of top end sports cars are running these.
