so.cal F/S: AVO450 turbo
This turbo is pretty much a bolt on ball bearing GT30R turbo. It has the revised exhaust housing that deletes the cracking issue and the wastegate has the upgraded 15lbs. spring.
it was installed into my '04 WRX back in june 2006. it was never stressed and was only tuned @ 20psi on 91oct, it can push 25psi easy if tuned on higher octane. on my STi hybrid setup with 264 cams etc. it pushed 301torque and 315AWHP on a mustang dyno.
i crashed my wrx in jan of '07 so the turbo ran for about 10K miles. as you can see in the pics the exhaust housing is still greyish and not red. There is no shaft play as well.
i paid 1800.00
[B]asking $1200.00obo free shipping for you Bay Area folksB] comes with the oil return line.
*reason for selling is because i want to run my sti with the stock turbo. i'm over the whole power thing.
Edit for somemore info: Since this turbo was used on a STi Hybrid set up, the turbo spooled around 1.5K RPM and would hit full boost @ 3K RPM and hold power til redline(7.5K RPM for me). AVCS users would see quicker spool and quicker peek boost.
