If you want to run your current downpipe, you can use the custom midpipe I have with a stock axleback as well. Then you won't have to worry about any exhaust leaks, since it's a 3" to 2.5" midpipe.

The downpipe makes more difference in the overall volume than the cat-back section in my experience. The OEM downpipe is super heavy and those 2 catalytic converters really absorb out the majority of the sound, and the cat-back just kinda gives that sound a little character and definition.

I have a Borla Hush, and with the OEM downpipe it is almost too quiet to hear inside the cabin while with a catless bellmouth Helix downpipe it is loud enough that you can make out my exhaust note about a block away. (although the unique boxer rumble is particularly hard to miss) With the loud Helix bellmouth down pipe... people who don't spend much time around cars say mine is pretty loud. People who are "in the scene" consider it relatively quiet.

Go stock, or be ready to pay a good amount for a higher quality exhaust. YouTube is your friend, it often plays sounds. Where you can listen to exhaust notes. The more restriction, the more quiet it will be. Janky replicas will be louder, and less efficient than legit exhausts as well.
Yes, because every video on YouTube is recorded in the same environment, from the same distance, with the same equipment. Excellent place to compare audio.

How did you assume all of that?

Don't slip on that slope.

Can you actually here the SPT in the car? I have the whisper and it is quiet, really don't hear it much unless I really get on it.
