just dont work in service industry like starbucks, mcd's, etc cuz its just not fun dealing with customers who are biatches. although it is a good learning experience to see it from the other side. you really learn to appreciate service people cuz you know how much it sucks.

i'd say get a job right now in something youre interested in. e.g. in college i worked at the on campus bike shop. and since i like to ride and raced with the team, it was a blast. just fixed bikes, listened to music, and met chics all day. it was min wage but i probably woulda done it jsut for the discounts.

Get creative broham.

I did flooring for one summer. Those jobs are easy to find cause they suck. But if you bust your *** you can work reasonable hours...enjoy your evennings/afternoons and make some good money. You usually get paid by job so the more work you get done the faster..the more you make an hour. I made up to $35 an hour doing lenolium jobs.

Right now my brother is laying tile. it sucks but he gets paid decent and has weekends off if he wants them. Lots of times you pick up side jobs on the weekend and make more money..really up to you. I did that a lot with carpet. I'd pick up a side job. blast it out on a Sat and make twice as much money as I did on a weekday cause MMM wasn't taking their cut.

During the summer my brother goes up to Lake Trinity. Works as a dock boy. he freaking loves it. He gets to be out in the sun all day. Talk to people. Meet women...I was up there for a few days last year....the view was nice. Plus he gets access to house boats and the rental jetski's and ski boat when it's slow. I had a party boat 2 days and the ski boat one day when I was out there. Awesome. On top of that, you can wake board pretty much all you want. His snowboarding went through the roof after the first summer he spent out there cause all he did was wake board and surf behind the boats all summer.

You don't get paid that great but you can save most of it because your expenses are so low. he lived in a pop up trailer and part time on a house boat.

Not a bad way to spend a summer if you ask me.

be a server or busser at a good, classy or "hip" restraunt. thats good money and it directly dependant on how hard you want to work. walking home with $150 in cash after a good dinner shift is a good feeling.

i work in the hotel industry and its great. i do agree dealing with guest can be a b*tch but after a while its not soo bad. i know we are hiring for all different positions. this also goes out to anybaody interested in working for a hotel. its a great learning experience.

i work in downtown san jose at the marriott.

check www.greatjob.marriott.com for all available positions. at the website youll see all openings not just here in san jose but all the other marriotts in the bay. so if san jose is too far for you, maybe check the openings they have available at the marriotts located in the north bay.

hope this helps

here's another idea...

Work on a cruise ship. Get a job as a cashier or waiter/server on the ship. You make OK money and won't have many expenses. You get to travel all over and you will meet a ton of people.
