Bump for you.

How do you know the fronts are blown, are they leaking? I've had my Konis for over 40K now with a number of different springs over them, wondering how to tell when they do go bad.

I see some what looks like oily deposit around the top, and they don't seem to return fully. Difficult to check the return if yours are on the car, but take a wipe around the insert top and see if what comes off seems oily or just regular dirt.

By return you mean rebound upwards after they are compressed? I don't think the Konis do that by design since they are not gas charged, mine never did. Oil residue is another thing though.

I could be wrong about the condition of the front dampers, then. If I am it's a deal for someone...

Sure, but not until evening after 7 or so (I work in the South Bay). Be advised that I'm not looking to part, though.

If nobody else picks these up real soon, let me know -- I may.
